FOOD ASSISTANCE DURING COVID-19 - Update 8.20.20

version en espanol a continuacion

Curbside orders must be submitted 1-hour prior to client shopping

Monday (12pm), Tue/Wed/Thur (11am)

Client food choice is a core value at BCAC, so we are putting safety and sanitation measures in place to provide a safe environment for clients:

  • Clients will need to schedule an appointment for shopping for Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday time slots. A few appointments are left available for walk-up clients unable to make an appointment. Beginning in September, Thursday shopping will be first-come, first-serve for walk-up clients.
  • Clients will not be allowed in the parking lot until 10 minutes prior to their appointment
  • Clients are asked to wear a mask as required by Executive Order (one will be provided for you to use if you do not have one) and asked to sanitize hands before and while shopping.
  • Only one person per family will be allowed in. If you have physical limitations, no childcare, compromised health, or concerns about entering the building, curbside food pick-up is available. Details given when scheduling your appointment.
  • New touchless sign in at the office door includes having the barcode on your driver’s license scanned. A BCAC ID card will be issued if you do not have a driver’s license or state ID.
  • Clients will follow social distancing guideline and follow directional arrows and markings on the floor. Simply put - stay behind your cart and keep your distance.
  • Clients will bag their own groceries as they go. Pantry policies and item limitations are expected to be followed. Please only touch the items you intend to take.
  • At this time, reusable bags are not allowed in the pantry. You may bag at your car if you wish to use them.
  • Volunteer are limiting in the pantry for everyone’s safety. Closed-circuit video will be used to ensure safety protocols are followed. A pantry volunteer will be at check out for direction/help as needed (clean up spills, etc)
